ASSI: 10 quarterly reports with 1 blog post.

Wednesday, July 17, 2013

One of the things I used to do which I stopped more than two years ago was to keep track of how ASSI was doing in terms of visitor numbers and pageviews. Someone told me back then that it was as if ASSI was a company and I was reporting to shareholders on its performance. Guess what? The last time I did such a report was on 2 April 2011!

I guess I am pretty late in presenting the results of the last 10 quarters. Yes, I know. If I were the CEO of a registered company, I would be in so much trouble. Thank goodness I am not.

You know it is like how we live with someone in the same flat for a couple of years and we can't really tell if the person has changed in appearance? It takes someone who has not seen the person for quite a while to be able to tell the difference, if any.

Well, I had such a moment just now when I looked at the graph. Amazed.

I guess, somehow, I must be doing something right and there is even less reason for me to stop blogging now. Thanks to all of you. :)

Hi AK,

Do blog more. Haha. I enjoyed every bit of your blog posts. It was actually my colleague who introduced your blog to me. In a way, you inspired me to blog too :)

Hi SG Young Investment,

Hi AK,

Keep up the good work in blogging and raising the financial literacy of people who visited your blog.

I chanced upon your blog abt 2 yrs ago and have been following closely since.

Do Blog More, lol

AK71 said...

Hi Kelvin,

We have to start looking out for a possible double top! LOL! ;p

AK71 said...

Hi Solace,

Well, I don't always blog about finance and investment. I am rather free ranging in the stuff I blog about. ;p

Raising financial literacy? I have and will continue to share what little I know. :)

I hope to have more guest bloggers too since I definitely do not know everything there is to know. All in good time.

Hi Hunter,

I guess people have to be interested in the information (including all the gossip and jokes) that I am sharing as well. ;p

Hi Derek,

Thank you for your kind support over the years! I certainly hope I will still be blogging a few years from now. :)

Hi AK

I've been following your blog for awhile now and I would like to thank you for sharing your knowledge, philosophy and quirky thoughts. ;)

Keep it up!

AK71 said...

Hi Junsheng,

My knowledge is not fantastic. My philosophy is not unique.

However, my quirky thoughts are 100% AK71 originals!

I am so glad you noticed. Thank you. ;)

Hi AK,

Aiyoh, with readership this impressive, I must remind myself to exercise restraint in my comments. Scared leh! If I say something offensive, I would be easily drowned by spit. No joke! -.-"

AK71 said...

Hi Endrene,

Actually, I think readers who bother to comment form less than 1% of blog readership. You are safe! ;p

Hi AK and Endrene,

Actually to make it even more popular, we must say something offensive - blogs get more popular by being opinionated and not mainstream and safe :)

Hi LP,

Remember this is not Facebook hor. I have the power to moderate comments! ROFL. ;p

Thank you for standing up for me. :)

Hi AK

I enjoy your blog and it has become a habit daily. Reminds me of Daily Bread! Do keep it up and thank you for sharing your thoughts and knowledge.
This is probably my third comment.

"100% AK71 originals" you better register this as trademarks.

Already saw a certain financial education site, showing the clip of your voice interview. Their own reader commented positively with "how he did this", "I also want to". Perhaps these positive publicity (or if you had endorsed their courses) helped drive traffic to your website.

BTW: I think of telling those readers that I followed AK's blogs and made my own decision. Now happily out of job and yet comfortably NOT hungry (except that I can't afford a new car lah). Passive income at work now.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the bracing comment. :)

Some people told me that eating bread daily is actually bad for our health. ;p

AK71 said...

Hi SnOOpy168,

I don't think I will register "100% AK71 originals" as a trademark since I don't think it would be worth much really. LOL.

Well, maybe one day someone will want to compile some of my blog posts into a book and pay me a royalty? I can always dream, can't I? ;p

I am sure that I have not endorsed any FA or TA courses before. However, if you could help to spread the message of financial freedom and how you have done it, I think you should.

I think we should all try to inspire others towards financial freedom. :)

Ambassadors of FF. Hmmm, sounded very insurance agent quote/stylo to me.

Anyway, the best way to spread the word is by show of example. I am just waiting for someone to ask me "you savings can tahan you out of job so long". heheheh.

Going for holiday in Eastern & Southern Taiwan for 3 weeks. Just to unwind a little bit.....高山青。。。

I'm a new follower. Been reading your blog this year only. I like your localization, making us Sporean feel closer like bro and sis!

Nevertheless, great job! Hope we can share more openly online, especially when it comes to making money :)

Hi Vanson,

Well, I just hope that you do not get too disappointed when I do not blog about anything remotely like money making for days in a row. It has happened before. ;p
