Tax paid with Citibank Dividend Card.

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

It is a once a year affair. Got to pay Road Tax for my car:

I paid at an AXS machine this evening and was pleasantly surprised to find that I had a choice of paying with a DBS or a Citibank credit card too.

So, I paid with my Citibank Dividend Card and I guess tonight's dinner at the food court was free! That makes me happy!

I used to NETS it using my POSB ATM card. Things have changed for the better.

Hi AK71,

I'm paying stuff with a cashback card too. I'm using a debit card from standard chartered which offers 1% cash rebate on any mastercard transaction.

I'm using it to pay my uni school fees :P
They used to offer 2% cashback but now drop to 1% :(

Your dinner cost only $1.71??

Hi pero,

I paid $684. LOL. ;)

Hi SG Young Investment,

I heard how their Manhattan Card was really generous with rebates before too. I think they felt the pinch and must cut back. ;p

Hi Serendib,

I paid $684. So, I got back $3.42. Enough for noodles lah. :)

However, tomorrow, my tea breaks and lunch will cost a grand total of $1.00. Should I blog about it? LOL! ;p

You have a DBS card? You can pay your income tax and property tax with DBS card and get rebates or points :)

Hi AK71,

Ya man. They cut back on their manhatten card too. But still generous at 2% cashback now.

Last time their xtrasaver debit card got cashback for nets transactions also. 0.5%. They totally removed it since April this year.

Hi Cen,

And so I was told. I only have the DBS AMEX card. I don't have a VISA or MasterCard. :(

Hi SG Young Investment,

They couldn't keep it up forever. ;)

Citibank Dividend Card is good for me because I drive. 5% rebate on petrol. 2% rebate at restaurants and pharmacies (where most of my bigger expenses are incurred). I hardly spend money anywhere else.

Oh, for groceries, it gives 2% rebate but I use the SMRT Pay Wave Visa to get 5%. ;p

Hi AK71,

Good rebates you have there. :)

Hi SG Young Investments,

It is hard to make money and getting harder. We will have to make our money work hard for us and work harder. ;p
