A fan of ABSOLUT Vodka?

Monday, August 12, 2013

My younger sister is a fan of ABSOLUT Vodka. No, she doesn't get drunk drinking it. She gets drunk collecting the different bottles! On a few trips overseas, I was tasked to buy the latest design for her.

I think she will enjoy ABSOLUT Canvas.

This is an exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore and is one of the highlights of this year’s Singapore Night Festival. It features ABSOLUT bottles that have never been seen in Singapore before!

With close to a hundred bottles on display, visitors will get a chance to view rare and limited editions of ABSOLUT VODKA separated into six different themed showcases – the CITY Edition, TRAVELLER’S Edition, DISPLAY Edition, VODKA INNOVATION Edition, LIMITED Edition and RARE BOTTLES Edition.

If you are a fan, you cannot miss this:

I was a collector too & gathering them at between S$19.90-29.90 for the various limited editions... Then I ran out of spaces for the bottles and have no idea where & how to display them.

Between Absolute and Whiskey, I will drink the latter. Now targeting at Single Malts and having a few drinks on the rocks for those quiet evenings.

Hi SnOOpy168,

I am not into alcohol at all. So fattening. LOL. Nah, just don't like the taste.

Anyway, I have my own poisons. ;p

Thats OK. Unless it is free drinks, from the airline's trolley or airport lounge, it will be very rare of me to show up in any of the local pubs/watering holes. Way to burn a hole in the pocket and sniff 2nd hand smoke.

When I was in HK, anything below 30% alcohol is duty free. My beer is same price or cheaper than Coke.

An example is Tiger beer there is like S$3-3.50 for 4 cans pack. If I chose those HK or Cina better, that price could something nett me a 6 pack. My preferred new world wines from Chile, Aust, NZ, South Afria etc is about S$6 - 8 a bottle , depending of the special offers. During CNY, I planned to get a few bottles in case friends showed up. Ended using my coupons, in-store promo (buy above HK$300, get 1 bottle free / for $1) and 6 bottles get 30% off. Ended up with 18 bottles within my budget and have them delivered to my doors (for orders above HK$500)

For that bubbles kick, I always had a beer. Now that I am back, the beer / wine withdrawal syndrome is........ poisonous to my bank account.

Hi SnOOpy168,

Thankfully, I do not like alcohol. Well, I might take some stout if I am feeling a bit under the weather but it is more for health reasons than to get a high out of it. ;)

Switching to water and tea instead. ^-^

Hi SnOOpy168,

Healthier too, no doubt. :)
