Inexpensive chill out ideas.

Life can be hectic especially in a city like Singapore. In fact, it often is.

Today, I had breakfast in a rather nice setting before going for a stroll in a nearby park.

Oishi!

Green is the most soothing color to the eye.

Breakfast: $6.95.
Newspapers: $0.90.
Visit to the park: $0.00.

Inexpensive, yummy and therapeutic.

I like it and will visit again!

  1. Hi Kelvin,

I am going to be secretively revealing: Singapore. ;p

I am sure some readers have the answer. :)

  2. AK, you will be saying Oishi for a different reason soon :p

Just saw your post and couldnt resist saying that!

I have found that sometimes the best chillout areas are the places nearest to home, or the places where people dont conventionally think of as a chillout spot.

Sometimes when I'm having break fast alone on a weekend, I like to head to a nearby coffeeshop early in the morning, have a bowl of awesome prawn noodles, a cup of kopi-c, and a copy of the Business Times, all for less than $6.00, but a little less atas than yours though hehe!

  3. Hi Clueless Punter,

A different reason? Er... What might that be? I am clueless. ;p

I don't like prawns but I do like the prawn noodles soup. So, when I order prawn noodles, I tell the hawkers: xia mian bu yao xia. Hahahaha... I always get that kind of look from them. -.-

Aiyoh, this breakfast is not atas lah. Atas breakfast is like this: Breakfast at Coffee Bean.

I have a feeling that you are staying quite near my place. And yes, I'll keep it a secret. Ssshhhhh... :P

BTW, I order wanton mee without wanton. Haha.

  5. Hi Endrene,

This blog post is like a Russian Doll. If you have guessed the locations correctly, I will tell you that I am not staying near them. ;)

    Anyway, shhhh.... ;p

  6. Hi AK,

Recently I went to Gardens by the bay and marina barrage. I find that it's quite a leisurely walk and it's totally free. I would have paid to enter the enclosed area, but there's too many people. Good for people who wants to have a scenic view of MBS, marina bay area :)

  7. Hi LP,

Gardens by the Bay is beautiful:Gardens by the Bay

Safra members, I heard, get a discount on tickets to enter the Domes.

Marina Barrage, I discovered a few years ago and was visiting regularly for a while. Really like the peace and quiet. Well, it got a bit too popular after a while and I stop visiting. :(
