Sex for grades case: Guilty!

On so many occasions, I was simply amazed by how shameless some people are. Take the instance of Tey Tsun Hang, the disgraced NUS law professor. To any reasonable person, what Tey did was quite obviously wrong but instead of showing some shame and admitting his guilt, he insisted that he was innocent which resulted in a trial spanning 5 months.


For someone who knows the law but chose to break it, there can be no leniency. He should be given the maximum sentence of five years in jail and the maximum fine of S$100,000 on each charge, especially when he has shown no remorse.

    They did? I must have missed that report.

    Anyway, he is now officially unemployed. Why would anyone want to jeopardise such a good career really puzzles me.

    National University of Singapore (NUS) has terminated Tey Tsun Hang's employment with immediate effect.

    The termination comes after Tey was found guilty of corruption by a court on Tuesday.     (Source: CNA)

    I'm puzzled on how did this case come to light. I mean could it be that the girl reported him? But why she did something that will put her reputation and career to jeopardy...

    Haha, yes lust and money. I am very serious when it comes to investing and personal finance but those who know me in person know that I have a sense of humour, though it can be wicked! And yes I love music too (no surprises eh?)Hehe.

    It boggles my mind why he would do something like this to jeopardise his highly paid job. If he were making only $2k a month, then, he wouldn't have as much to lose. ;p

    Haha...his libido maybe low but somehow get activated by all the sweet young things around him. Anyway, he got the most disgusting look on the papers yesterday. At first, I thought he was not married, at least that can support his story on love and romance, I got more angry when I realized he is married with a daughter just 7 yrs younger than darinne ko, a real bastard!And I think the girl is not stupid....but having aced her way to uni, and suddenly not doing as well, may have added the pressure on her to get what she thinks is impt I.e., grades with whatever means.

    Hi Garfield,

    Yup, disgusting man. Being married and a father too, he should have acted even more responsibly. Well, if he has no self restraint, then, a longer jail term is needed to restrain him! Of course, now, we are talking about morals, not the law. Disgusting!

    I sympathise with his daughter. The poor girl, I hope, is shielded from the entire sordid affair. Imagine reading all the stuff about her father in the papers. :(
