The last bit of moisturiser wasted.

I prefer tubes to tubs because there is less exposure of the content to air. However, I really dislike how some of the content will go to waste.

Front.

Back.

Side. How to squeeze anymore?

If this were a plastic tube, I would have cut the tube in half to get the last bit of moisturiser left in it. This is, however, a metal tube.

Oh, well.

  1. Haha AK,

i realised you have the same habits as me. i will also cut tube into half to get the contents out.

Try a good strong scissors, invest in one of there is a sale :) That should do the tricks.

  2. Hi Solace,

With metal tubes, I think I will let it go. LOL. Don't want to take the risk. Flattened the tube already. Prying it open after cutting the tube in half is going to be a bit risky. I have a fear of sharp edges. ;p

  4. Hi coconut,

I just read in between the lines! You good! LOL.

Yes, make more money from trading and I wouldn't have to be so giam siap as to squeeze out every last dollop of moisturiser, right?

I think I am too old to change. :(

  11. Not sure whether you guys may remember an old SBC show call Ko Pi Oo where there was a father who is a miser. I think the show was about 25 years ago.

This father got a son whose toothpaste was finishing and the son was about to throw it away, citing it can't be squeeze anymore. The father rebuked him and took the toothpaste and squeeeeze but nothing came out.

As the son laughed at him, this father took a hammer and hammered on the toothpaste and yes, some drops of toothpaste appear.

The father told the son: "See? Still have! Dont waste! Youngsters nowadays..."

AK, not sure whether you want to try the hammer approach...

  12. Hi Willie,

Ahem, are you implying that I am a miser? This is a sad day for me. -.-"

Thanks for the suggestion but in order to try the method, I would have to buy a hammer first. Nah. ;p

  21. Hi AK,

Here's what I do - find a pair of chop sticks and use them to crimp the flat end of the tube, one on top of the other. Then you roll the sticks like how you would open luncheon meat cans. I do it with tooth paste all the times ;)

    Regards,

  22. Hi Ivan,

Wow! You must have strong fingers to manipulate chopsticks like that. Sounds viable. Thanks. :)
