I visited Bukit Panjang Plaza this evening and found that Watsons and Guardian were both sold out of the N95 respirator masks (still).
Then, I saw a long queue outside Unity. The queue was VERY long and stretched to cover the shop fronts of the neighbouring 4 shops at least.
Apparently, Unity was rationing the N95 respirator masks so that no one customer could buy up the entire stock.
Hopefully, the supply situation will improve very soon islandwide.

The Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) is urging all suppliers and retailers of face masks not to inflate prices.
It is also urging the businesses to remain transparent and stick to the regular recommended retail price.
The association stressed that businesses should not take advantage of the plight of consumers and inflate prices at this critical period of time.
CASE said it had come to its attention that some retail outlets have increased the prices of face masks, especially for the N95 face masks.

Sadly there are still people who want to take advantage of a national crisis to make some profit. Pui.

sigh got 4 pieces from unity too. I was lucky tt I walked past it when stock arrived.
Hi FoodieFC,
4 pieces? I guess you must have had a family member with you?
no..was with colleagues. my family size (staying with me) is more than 4...
In fact if you walk out of the streets, you notice that 80% have no mask. Majority of those with mask are surgical mask.
Another interesting fact is that the younger generations are the ones with N95...
Hi FoodieFC,
If you mobilise your family to visit Unity, you could get many N95 masks. They are selling these on a per head basis, I heard.
The younger people are better educated and more aware of what the haze could do to our health. Also, they probably know better which is the correct mask to buy.
