I frown at degree mills. Totally disgusted! This is an issue very close to my heart cos I have been constantly fighting people who think that a degree is merely a piece of paper.
Education is priceless and deserves more honour than this.

A degree in 3 days? Sounds like a fake one. Real degree takes longer to get. 10 days. Must be at least 10 days.
I am a bit upset that I took 4 years to get mine. Sigh. I am such a slow worker. :(

Quite sometime back, out of the blue, there were quite a few "bo tak cheh" CEOs from our listed companies suddenly adding a "Dr" to their names.
They all make "contributions" to "earn" these "honourary doctorate degrees".
One US graduated CEO even fell for it, but he stopped using the Dr title once he saw so how many other CEOs are using it too. He laughed it off as one of his silly moments of vanity...
And yes, it's a degree mill from the States. No need 3 days. It's instant!
But I can empahtise. Some people wear high heels, some dye their hair, some wear a toupee...
We all have some insecurities we want to compensate.

It's a matter of getting used to. Besides, I'm in a deskbound job. No need to walk much. :)
On the days that I don't wear my heels, I feel short. SMOL nailed it. It's insecurity! Haha. BTW, I'm 1.64m. :P

You can "buy" the papers, but they will not be recognized. End of the day, truth will be out.
But thinking about it, do HR really screen through all degrees? How many fake degrees are floating in Singapore?
