Kudos to you AK. You are one of the most patient educator I have encountered. I hope more people can develop critical thinking and take ownership of their decision. I am working very hard to inculcate these skills in my children. ;-p

Strange chap..... If he thinks he's only 2-3 years left, then there's no need to invest..... I'd advise him to spend if he's no family or buy term insurance if he's married....
AK is indeed patient

Hi EDP,

I try to be. :)

There are, however, some people whom I have stopped being patient with. There are also a few whom I have chosen to ignore. I am only human (and lazy). ;p

Hi Julian,

I think the reader has many more years left. Probably just being pessimistic.

The in and out of hospital referred to was for a family member who needs care.

All of us have different circumstances and some might need more help than others. I try to remind myself of this all the time. I don't always do a good job but I try.

I think it's okay to ask for investing ideas but If one does not even want to help himself, how to expect others to feed him.

He wants the easy way out lah..

AK I believe you receive tons of mails everyday, jia you and thanks for always replying! :D

Hi Jing Quan,

Yes, we must be independent and it doesn't just apply to investment decisions.

I am glad to share what little I know but readers have to remember that I am not infallible and they should not depend on me. -.-"

Thank you for the encouragement. :)

Reader:
Being open-minded can be really tough sometimes. Anyway, I start to learn
how this risk free investment works. I am quite excited now. I need to
learn a lot, I still have a long way to go.

AK:
We could get confused on what is an investment and what is not.
This sounds like a marketing job. You get paid if your friends use the products you recommend. This isn't an investment opportunity. It's a job.
