Missed some stuff AK shared on Facebook in August?

Tuesday, August 25, 2015

With so much panic and tension in the air, I decided to bring forward the publication of a more light hearted blog post. Here are some of my intellectually undemanding postings on FB in the month of August:

It is very difficult to recover trust that has been lost.

'Honesty is a very expensive gift, Don't expect it from cheap people.' Warren Buffett.

T: OK lah. They are giving $50,000 to comm chest too. I'm glad that some sum of money will go to the needy.

AK:
Over a period of 2 to 3 years, I think they made more than $50,000 from the "fresh" soya bean milk.... The gesture is inadequate and insincere.

I remember a reader requesting that I take photos and share here in my blog whenever I go for my long walks. I cannot remember the lady's name by now.

Apart from the fact that it is ramen and not thick bee hoon, this is really not bad. I like.

BRA OF SHAME. The story is quite funny.

Enlarged for those who had difficulty reading the story in the bottom left frame:

I nice, right?

A guest blogger said these looked like gigantic bra cups. OMG!

In case you are wondering, this is the stadium at Sports Hub and not something in Madonna's wardrobe.

I have been eating less for dinner which I think is a good thing. Still trying to work off weight gained from too much eating on the Super Star Gemini.

Star Wars fans? LOL!

I enjoy savory puff pastry. This is good lobang (i.e. value for money) for tuna puffs. Just don't use the microwave oven to heat them up.

Oh, don't ask me for lobang in the stock market, OK? Later, I share with you a lobang and you fall into a big longkang (i.e. monsoon drain).

(As an aside, if UMNO were to decide to start a script writing class, I would sign up for it immediately. I think if UMNO should start a drama production unit, TVB and Mediacorp should be very worried. UMNO have some really talented people.)

Frankly, I found BreadTalk's effort to make amends both inadequate and insincere. I did a bit of PR work before and if it was up to me, I would suggest to do an audit to find out how many bottles of the "fresh" soya bean milk did the company sell in the last 2 or 3 years, donate to charities all the gains AND do a dollar for dollar matching on top of this.

I believe that this would still be a drop in the ocean to BreadTalk and it would amply demonstrate the company's sincerity to make amends for abusing the trust their customers put in them. BreadTalk should have overcompensated. They must understand that the public must get the feeling that justice has been served.

Forget about the free floss buns. That's just plain insulting. OK, I know it is not a plain bun but you know what I mean.

At the National Day Rally, PM Lee said Lim Swee Say shared 3 "Fs". AK just shared 3 "Is":

"Inadequate. Insincere. Insulting."

I hope this blog post has brought you some fun and laughter. Take deep breaths. Relax.
