You might have noticed the big blue box on the right side of my blog. In case you think it's an advertisement, it's not. I am collecting information on my blog's readership profile. From the latest figures, my blog receives, on average, 500 unique visitors a day but so far only 23 visitors have taken the poll since it started. :-(

I'm using IE8 on a Sony Vaio to manage my blog. When I use other versions of IE, things looks different. So, I guess it doesn't work on Firefox and Macs then. :(

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I can only poll readers who are using IE.
I checked my stats and most visitors to this blog are using IE7 (38.6%), followed by Firefox 3.6 (19%) and IE8 (18.6%). Chrome 4.0 is a distant 4th (5%).
I guess if 50% of all my readers respond to the poll, I should be happy, since that would mean a sample size of about 250 people. :)

I guess maybe it has to do with the version of Firefox being used? Well, I'm not an IT guy. I'm happy as long as it works! :)
This is a poll by Nuffnang to profile my readers so as to better match advertisers to my blog. I guess if my blog has more male readers, advertisers who are targetting guys would be more interested in advertising here, for example.
Ah I just realized it's probably my ad blocker Firefox extension that's hiding the Nuffnang poll because it thinks it's an ad. I've just responded to the poll in Safari :)

Thanks! You have an ad blocker? Wah, I can never make any money from you then. ;)
Haha I only installed it awhile back because of some irritating Flash ads that were either making my laptop's fan spin harder or were making really obnoxious noises. There were also some ads that broke pages (usually ads in some Facebook apps). Anyway, I believe in the ad system as a way to "give back" to people with good content like yours and actually am happy to support if the ads are not super intrusive. If not for a few black sheep I'd gladly turn my ad blocker off.
