I took this photo in Ueno Park during my recent trip to Japan. The scene has a calming and pleasing effect on me. |

This helpful sign outside a shop solicited a hearty laughter from me. |
Very often, simple things can make me happy.
May all of us find happiness every single day as we celebrate the simple things in life.
Happy 2012.

Hi Ak71,
Food for thought: The thing about going to Japan is, when making comparisons, you feel that Singapore is not a 1st world in certain areas. :)
Hi AK71.
Happy new year!
This year marks the first year I followed your blog. I hope that you keep on posting so that I will wish happy new year for many more years!
Cheers!
Contentment is bliss
WHat else can bring more happiness when one is contented?
Benevolence.........helping when others need help or ask for help will bring greater meaning to our existence...helping without expecting anything in return brings us closer to Nirvana.
Hi INVS 2.0,
I would say that both countries have their own problems. In certain areas, I believe Singapore is somewhat better. :)
Hi FoodieFC,
Happy 1st anniversary. ;p
Thanks for the well wishes and this is to more happy years! :)
Hi financialray,
I know I am far away from Nirvana. Haha.. Too many things in my head. I try to be a better person all the time but it is not easy. I can only try.
Hi AK,

Hello AK!
Glad we now have something else in common to share with besides the abandoned instant noodles :(
Now we can look at each other's travel photos :)
Wishing you well for 2012!
Hi Moi,
I am not sure if I would be wiser in 2012 although it wouldn't take a very smart person to see that this world is messed up in more ways than one.
For sure, the singular pursuit of material well being is unhealthy. Balancing this with other pursuits to have a well balanced lifestyle is what I have been trying for. :)
Hi SMOL,
Haha.. I have not abandoned instant noodles. I have just cut back on its consumption quite drastically. ;)
I wish you well too. :)
Happy new year to everyone here :)
Wish everyone happiness in both financial, health and other personal areas!
