They could have pulled heroes from the Justice League (batman + superman and others) to form a big family of champions.
Or, they can stop being nationalistic and get action heroes from Japan like Dragonball's Goku. No discrimination between heroes when the world needs all of them. :)

This movie is quite enjoyable. Quite humorous and not too serious. Didn't feel like 2h 15 mins long.
Should go watch it to relax a bit...you sound like a spring compressed too tightly because of external forces. If the spring is compressed beyond the limit of proportionality by external forces, it might sustain a serious and permanent strain to its extension and Hooke's law will not longer be obeyed.
