I started buying stuff like books and health supplements online only recently. The convenience and savings, especially with a strong Singapore Dollar, help to make online shopping a growing phenomenon here.
You know those mega sales at the Singapore Expo by John Little or Harvey Norman? This reminds me of a mega sale except that we don't have to be in a crowded and noisy location, rummaging through baskets of bargains with everyone else and, then, joining a super long queue to make payment!
Happy shopping in the comfort of your own home!

Ever since the CPFB introduced a colorful pie chart of our CPF savings a few years ago, I would look forward to mine every year like a teena...

Past blog posts now load week by week. The old style created a problem for some as the system would load 50 blog posts each time. Hope the new style is better. Search archives in box below.

thanks for this post! Did not know that its so cheap!
Hi FoodieFC,
Neither did I!
I paid $10 for a silicone protection shell for my Samsung Galaxy Ace at Jurong Point! :(
I have been doing online shopping for quite sometimes. Besides foodstuff and medicine, I will source the things I need online first, ranging from underwear to capo and tuner for my guitar.
Thanks for the info. I will check this site for my next purchase.
Hi Sanye,
My shopping style is definitely outdated. I now believe the news that online shopping is growing rapidly.
Certain businesses in the retail industry with physical shops in the malls could really suffer.
thanks AK! wow looks cool, all kinds of stuff. but how's the quality? i'll try it out too... really cheap and good looking iphone case.
Hi Ling,
You are welcome! I like to accept advertisements for products and services which I think readers will find interesting or useful.
A friend bought several silicone cases for the iPad from them. It comes in many colors! He kept two and the rest, he gave away to his family. Apparently, these are easily S$40 a piece in the shops!
If you think it appropriate, share this blog post with your friends and family. Thank you. :)
4 SIM card phone. Wah...the user must be very busy on all lines. One for work, one for the wife & kids, one for the ladies-friends and another for the boys only. heheheheh
Hi SnOOpy168,
It shows how fast the Chinese are catching up and how inexpensive they are!
The old way of doing business is crumbling with the Chinese factories and resellers selling directly to consumers.
Importers and foreign retailers will feel the heat.
Hi AK7 you live around Jurong Point too?
Hi Hayden,
Not at all. On a good day, it takes me 20 minutes to drive there from home.
what sort of health supplements do you usually take?
And where do you buy them?
Hi SC,
I have a blog post on this:
My diet and dietary supplments.
Hi AK,
how long did it take for your shipment to arrive?
Hi hunter,
About 2 to 3 weeks max. There is an option to pay for shipping to speed things up but if there is no urgency, I'd opt for free shipping. :)
Thanks AK.
now taobao ships directly to your door step..if item not received u can collect it from the nearest 24hrs box by singpost (forgot what the box is called). of course u may use other sg merchant to ship on your behalf. q0010 also have many great deals :)
