I watched Hunter X Hunter more than 10 years ago! Those days, I would buy the VCD box sets from Poh Kim or was it Laser Flair? Hmmm, maybe TS Video? I cannot remember exactly.
Well, I didn't know they had a remake a couple of years ago. I like it!

Hunter X Hunter is famous (or infamous) for taking long hiatuses and then resuming as and when the author likes. The situation had been parodied or depicted in many other anime/manga like Gintama or Bakuman.
Oh well... the author is probably very insistent and don't need the series or money to survive. For a realistic look into the lives and job of a manga artists, watch Bakuman.
