What are those white flakes on top?
Hi E H,
Someone asked me the same question on FB. LOL.
Answer: Potato (chips).
This is a really easy to prepare meal. Ready to eat instantly. ;p
When in Sg, i tend to go coffee shop/food court for breakfast. Fish/Meat noodle easily $3.50. Get a drink $1. A paper $1. Morning cost $5.50. If i have this routine everyday $2K cannot run just for breakfast time for 1 person.
I hate that you can be so innovative and has cheap way of working around them. Not sure i will try but good for you. :)
i just had my zui kueh as my brunch today.
$1.50:)
Hello!
I am a fairly new reader, having chanced on your blog while researching on insurance plans earlier this week. Your blog has been my favorite so fair, cos it touches on many other topics on top of finance and investment. In fact, the non-finance/investment posts are what make me keep scrolling.
That said, I am also very much interested in finance and investment, just that I am very very green at this point and it's such a difficult topic for me! However I do know that it is a must to educate myself on such issues, so I am trying to absorb slowly.. :(
Good job on ur posts! Really appreciate how patient and nice you are in ur replies to comments. Keep it up!

I prefer my baked beans stir fried with fatty pork, garlic, shallots and some chilli padi. Sedap!
Hi Cory,
Aiyoh, I don't eat like this everyday for breakfast, you know? Most of the time, it is a bowl of oatmeal with soya bean milk which costs, er, less than a dollar too. -.-"
I do have a variety of food for breakfast. Sometimes, it is a packet of 80c nasi lemak or a $1 tuna bun (75c if I buy after 6pm the night before). Cheap, cheap also.
I do go to McDonald's and Coffee Bean for breakfast a couple of times a month. That will cost more but I must pamper myself once in a while, right? ;)
Hi yeh,
I used to eat that more often when I was staying in Tiong Bahru. $1 for 4 pieces. hehe.
See: 60c soya bean curd et. al.
Hi chy,
I am happy you enjoy my blog. I know how dry the topic of finance is and not many people find it interesting. Honestly, I don't find it interesting either. -.-"
So, I guess peppering my blog with tabloid quality stuff keeps both me and my readers from, er, drying up! ;p
Hi E H,
I love chilli hot stuff but in the last couple of years, my body has been rejecting spicy stuff. I get the runs everytime I eat chilli hot stuff. :(
Anyway, thanks for sharing the recipe. I am sure the dish is yummy! :D
Your breakfast always seem pretty light i.e; low in calories. Might be better to load up a bit more with perhaps an apple plus a milo or egg. Otherwise by 1030am stomach start growling.
Hi E H,
10.30am? That's tea break time! I don't eat as much as I used to and I prefer small but more frequent meals. :)
AK,
Baked beans in the morning?
Hmm... Better not be caught with AK in the same lift during the day...
Pooooooooooo_oot!
Allo! Potato chips!? I guess with too much healthy oat meals (yucky), you need to mix in some junk food as balance ;)
I so proud of you!
Try instant noodles breakfast? 50 cents only!
Come back to the dark...
Hi SMOL,
My next blog post will be dedicated to you! How come you know what I am thinking of blogging next? -.-"
