What? AK's lunch costs more than $1.00?
Shocked? Stunned? Surprised?
I took these photos before I started eating:
Egg tofu, carrots, potato, taupok, stewed cabbage, spring onions and anchovies on steamed rice. |
Looks good? A bit too oily but that is to be expected from food bought from canteens. |
Forgot to bring lunch to work today. Left it on the kitchen table. Growing forgetful in my old age. So, decided to pack food from the canteen.
I guess $2.20 is not too bad.
Now, my taste buds feel a bit tingly. Must be from the MSG.
What? No drinks? Of course, I had a drink. Water from the water fountain at work is free.

Hi AK, why don't you try do a little exercise each day?
Before you sleep, write down on a sheet of paper what you have to do for the next day and put it somewhere you have to visit the next day.
Chances of you missing stuff is lesser. :)

I suppose as one ages, food intake should reduced as well cos metabolism is lowered. I know easier say than done. Anyway I don't recall you look fat during ur speech, so u r still safe to eat :)

I don't eat a lot. So, maybe, that is why I don't gain weight as quickly but I am definitely gaining. :(

I got a free way to slim down. My waist fell 2 inch and wight 4 kg in 2 months.
I fall really sick, I eat only soap base item. No chicken, no egg, no fired food, no beverages no cold and sweet stuff.
I eat porridge with pork belly meat!! But still slim down.

I have a weakness for chocolate, ice cream and sweets. I buy and store when there are special offers like "buy 1 get 1 free" or something. The discovery of those Super Value stores with their really cheap Kit Kat, Snickers and Mars bars was the proverbial final nail in the coffin! :(
Maybe, it is to compensate for all the craving that went unsated when I was a boy. I was a skinny kid.

Anyway you can consider posting the 'activities' (other than makaning & blogging) you occasionally do that you feel is value to health and wealth (i.e jogging/swimming/tai qi etc) :)

I do go for evening walks and cycling. I will have to bring my trusty (and banged up) IXUS along then. Will try to remember. ;p
I also do some yoga but it is hard to take photos when I am doing all the postures. ;p

Agree with all the comments here...eat more healthily, maybe start drinking green smoothies? Otherwise 有钱没命花 also no use.

Try to eat green veges and drink green juice.
Sugar cause inflammation in the body which veges can counter.
I am also trying to lose weight. Was too stressed in my previous job. Stress also cause inflammation. No matter what I do, the weight doesn't budge. Now that I changed job, lost 2kg without doing anything. Great morale boost! Working with weights for my exercise now!
