I was invited to a buffet dinner and a movie treat complete with popcorn and Pepsi.
The movie was educational and entertaining at the same time. Although Biblical, I believe that there are certain lessons here which have universal value.
We should treat every human being equally. It doesn't matter what is the color of our skins.
Efforts to enrich ourselves or to make our lives better should not be at the expense of fellow human beings. Unfortunately, examples of "beggar thy neighbour" are rather common and I am sure all of us have tales to tell.

Err, no free invitation for me. I'm thinking which dividend should I use to fund this Sunday movie ticket ... FCT or Wing Tai? ;)
Lol AK,
As I guessed, reward for being the "high commission payer" for Lim and Tan.
Wanted to catch this too, my wife rejected me flat. Said se wanted to watch hobit instead :(
Hi AK,
That's a nice way to celebrate your birthday. :)
Hi boonchin,
If I don't get to watch for free, I typically choose to go to the cinemas from Mondays to Wednesdays because the tickets are cheaper. ;p
Hi Mike,
Personally, I would choose to watch "The Hobbit" too, given a choice. LOL.
I have been waiting for all 3 parts to be aired so that I could go and buy the DVDs and watch all 3 parts at the same time. I did that for Lord of the Ring. I actually bought the collector's edition for that. ;p
Hi Endrene,
Yup. I think so too. Although the movie made me a little too thoughtful but it was a nice coincidence. :D
hate u AK
everytime got this kind of lobang. make me envious. ha ha
but i always managed to get senior citizen ticket price on weekday when i just finished swimming and look haggard with messy hair and go to the counter to buy, usually the tricks work for me.
hee hee
Hi Kwee,
Aiyoh! Shame on you for masquerading as a senior citizen to get concessionary tickets. ;p
Actually, it is shame on the staff at the ticketing booth for not checking your ID. ;)
I hardly pay to go to the movies these days because I find the tickets to be too expensive. Usually, if I do go, it is because I have free tickets or because friends or family ask me to go. Then, I would request that we watch on Mondays to Wednesdays when tickets are cheaper. LOL. ;p
Has been a while since i have watched a movie on the big screen! Free movie tix are always good! :)
