I was chatting with my mom and she talked about looking at the skies and laughing at the follies of man. I told her she is so poetic and reminded me of æ–‡ç« . Younger readers might not get the joke.
Have a listen:
I think this was more than 20 years ago. I am feeling my age. Thanks, mom.
I also decided to give myself a lunch treat today and I think it is a lunch that most people would approve of:
Price: $3.50.
Who says AK's lunch is always under $3.00? Who? Who?

Sometime we have to pamper ourselves a bit la. Thrifty is good, but too over become stingy then not good liao.
Well ak. Today meal looks healthy. There are fish and vegetables, healthy choice.
How come your mom did not ask you what stocks u blog about? Kekeke
Hi yeh,
I am actually a lot less tight fisted with money these days. :)
I realise that I am growing older and that my remaining time in this world is only getting lesser with each passing year.
Hi Derek,
Aiyoh, I rather she keeps more cash and not keep buying stocks. She is not getting any younger, if you know what I mean. Shouldn't be taking too many risks. -.-"
AK,
What a coincidence!
We both used a song to express our feelings just hours apart ;)
LOL!
Hi SMOL,
Our common star must have spoken to the both of us. The universe works in mysterious ways. ;p
Given that things, including food, are getting more and more expensive nowadays, a $3.50 meal is relatively cheap in my opinion.
Hi AK:)
You are no longer a tight wad! Good for you……….laughing.
Hi AK,
Maybe you should blog more about cheap food rather than cheap stocks, I think people will appreciate more and no bad feelings even the food is sold out for the day..
For example, $2 Hong Kong soy sauce chicken rice at chinatown hawker centre or $2 laksa at Jalan Besar coffee shop...still need to queue but better than queuing for stocks...:P
Hi dorshii,
Hahaha... I am usually cheap towards myself. I am more willing to spend money on family although I would still insist on having value for money.
For example, my sister wanted to order French fries in Pizza Hut during one of our family outings. It was $4.95 or something! OMG!
I protested, of course. My sister was so upset with me that she refused to eat dinner that night. Aiyoh... -.-"
Hi ozxinvest,
How do you know that this is one option I am actually toying with? LOL. ;p
AK the (cheap) food blogger! :D
I don't think it will fly because I am really not a foodie at heart. I eat to live and not live to eat. ;)
I enjoy blogging and, up till now, I simply blogged about whatever I feel like blogging about. It is so hard to do self censorship. -.-"
Looks much better than oats leh :p
