I have not been blogging for a few days. I did not even look at the stock market.
My portfolio is not a trading one. It is basically one that generates regular and reliable passive income. So, it is not unthinkable to just leave it alone while I take a short break.
I did receive a SMS from my broker today regarding LMIR's rights issue and how much I should transfer to subscribe to it. Other than that, I have been out of touch.
Where did I go the last few days? Here is a clue:
I might be blogging about my trip in my travel blog over the next few weeks. Look out for it. :)

Ak went to japan with his best friend!!!
Able to stay so serene in a time of turmoil. That speaks volume about your investment strategy. Btw, how long did it take for you to reach your current state? 10 years? I am 32 and just started to learn to invest but wonder how long before I can reach a "steady state". :)
Hi AK
Enjoy your trip :-)
Be well and prosper.
Hi SnOOpy168,
You guessed it! I did enjoy my time in Hong Kong.
I will be sharing some pictures taken on the trip in my travel blog soon. :)
Hi Anonymous,
Oh my, some of you actually got worried? Apologies. :(
Hi Anonymous,
Sorry, I went to Hong Kong.
The clue showed Chinese words, not Japanese. ;p
Hi Ray,
I am 40 this year but I really settled on the current strategy a few years ago. The current strategy provides a steady passive income stream even in choppy market conditions.
With panic in the air and credit tightening, we could see yields going even higher. I hope to collect more on the cheap. :)
Hi Panzer,
Thanks. :)
I just came back but I will be going on another vacation next month. ;)
Hi AK, do you think your current strategy will amass wealth slower although maybe safer? So you earned your capital in your prev strategy using more value and technical trading?
No wonder so quiet these few days ;)
Welcome back!!! Got take pictures of the birds there? LOL!
Hi Ray,
Slow and steady wins the race, they say. ;p
On a serious note, this is but one way to grow our wealth. There are many ways to do so.
My current strategy is probably suitable for people who would be happy to get regular income at yields which beat inflation by a fair margin. :)
Hi SMOL,
I did visit Ocean Park and they have an aviary there. So, yes, I did take some photos of our fine feathered friends. I didn't know you are a bird lover. :)
Got buy lao po bing for me anot?
Dingxie
Hi Dingxie,
I had lots of dimsum in Hong Kong. Best to eat fresh. I don't think they are nice if we tabao. ;)
Anything ak buy for me, i will say nice :) I taobao back 6 boxes of lao po bing before. Wing wah also got sell lao po bing in vacum pack.
Dingxie
Hi Dingxie,
I have not bought anything from Wing Wah before but I did buy some pineapple pastry from Kei Wah. Apparently, Kei Wah is famous for this and my friends from Hong Kong would always give these away as presents. Personally, I don't think they are that fantastic, preferring those from Taiwan. Just personal taste. :)
Ak,
Got eat hk wanton anot? U travelled by jetstar? Where did u stay? U travelled around hk by taxi?
Hi Anonymous,
Wow, so many questions.
I will have to ask you to wait a bit as I will be blogging about my trip in my travel blog. ;)
Hi AK
I don't understand why yr broker sms u to ask how many right u shud take up? i tot we juz go to ATM and pay to subscibe? Pardon me, but i never contact broker in my buy/sell....
Hi Mark,
I have some LMIR units held in a nominee account. For those units, I would transfer to my broker the required funds to pick up the rights units.
For LMIR units in my CDP account, I will have to visit the ATMs at a date no later than 24 Nov to do the same.
