In an earlier blog post, I mentioned that immediate resistance for Sabana REIT is to be found at 91c. If this were to be taken out, we could see gap filling at 91.5c.
My sell order at 91c was filled today. Technically, if unit price should weaken when the REIT goes XD, we could see a decline to retest support which seems to be on a rising trendline. This would be in the region of 87c. That is a 4c difference if it should materialise.
As I have a large investment in the REIT and not forgetting that my primary aim of being vested is for income, I decided on divesting only a small portion (approximately 10% of total investment in the REIT) at resistance for a trade.
If the unit price should retest support, I would buy again. If unit price should go higher, I would also benefit from my remaining investment. This way, I could benefit both from units vested and units divested.

Hi Ak71,
Er, you may want to delete my previous double entries, as I created a new gmail in order to post. :)
I wanted to sell at $0.91 but found out that my sell limit has exceeded after selling AIMS last week. :( :(
Hi Unknown,
No problem. :)
As for exceeding the limit set by your broker, just give them a call to raise the limit. If they are reluctant to raise it permanently, they could raise it temporarily. Should be quite easy. Try it. ;)
Hi Ak71,
I am actually INVS 2.0. But the user ID placed me as "Unknown". :D
Hi INVS 2.0,
Ah, so des ne. I was wondering if it might be you. ;)
You could perhaps amend or get an ID from Blogger. :)
Hi Ak71,
Done with my user ID.
When I first registered my trading a/c, my miser broker gave 0% buy/sell limit. It was only I deposited a sum of money into their vault, that they decided to give limits. But as my shares grew larger, the limits are really limited. :(
I already emailed them my request. Well, not much of a hope.
Hi INVS 2.0,
Ah, you have a very conservative broker. I have made calls to my brokers in the past to increase my limits. It was quite easily done.
I hope you are successful in your request or else you could call your broker to execute your trades on your behalf although it would cost a bit more.
Hi Ak71,
I am using DBS Vickers, the conservative one. :) What's disappoint me is their inadequate explanation of ways on trading stocks.
Anyway, managed to discover that I can use cash upfront to sell stocks instead of using the sell limit.
Just sold off Sabana at $0.91. :)
Hi INVS 2.0,
Congratulations on locking in gains at 91c. :)
I do not have a trading account with DBS Vickers. Perhaps, you could try having a second trading account as a backup?
INV2.0,
which broker you use? Not SCB? I thought SCB would be good for investors with small warchests like you and me, or maybe just me? lol!
Anyway, if you interested in a broker who can give you better rates 0.18% (market is usually 0.25%) and T+5 settlement (market is usually T+3)I can intro mine. But dont trust his tips. lost me lots of money in SIA :(
Hi Ak71,
Seems like the old phenomenon of a price decrease after XD applies once again on Sabana.
$0.880 today. I am thinking of accumulating again on $0.87. Hehe. :)
Hi Liu,
Sounds like you have a plan. Good luck. :)
Hi Ak71,
Oops, accidentally revealed my surname upon reverting back to my primary account. :/
Hi INVS 2.0,
So, you are Liu? Hahaha... I rather like that. Less to type. ;p
